Terms of use

Last updated: August 2026

1. Overview

This website is operated by BoxCourses. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to BoxCourses.

BoxCourses provides digital educational resources, including independently created medical summaries, study guides, review materials, and related educational content.

By accessing this website, using our services, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms of Use together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Returns Policy, Disclaimer, and any other policies referenced on the website.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or purchase our products.

2. Educational Nature of Our Products

Products offered by BoxCourses are intended for educational and reference purposes only.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, products described as summaries, study guides, or review materials are independently created educational resources.

They are not the original textbooks and do not contain complete reproductions of the original publications.

References to book titles, authors, editions, publishers, or trademarks are used only where reasonably necessary to identify the subject matter or source material associated with a study resource.

BoxCourses is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by the authors or publishers of referenced books unless explicitly stated.

3. No Medical Advice

BoxCourses content is provided for education and study only.

Nothing available through our website constitutes:

  • Medical advice
  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment recommendations
  • Clinical guidelines
  • Legal or other professional advice

Our resources should not replace original source materials, current clinical guidelines, institutional protocols, formal medical education, or consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.

4. Digital Products and Delivery

Products sold through BoxCourses are generally digital products.

No physical book or other physical item is shipped unless a product page specifically states otherwise.

After successful payment, access may be provided through:

  • The order confirmation page
  • A download link
  • Email delivery
  • Another electronic access method described on the product page

Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address and ensuring that their device and software are capable of accessing the purchased digital content.

5. Immediate Digital Access and Cancellation Rights

Where digital content is supplied immediately, we may ask customers to expressly consent to the supply beginning before the end of any statutory cancellation period and to acknowledge that this may affect or end their cancellation right once supply begins.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Product Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to describe each product accurately, including its:

  • Type
  • Format
  • Subject matter
  • Included content
  • Edition or reference source, where applicable

Customers should review the product description carefully before purchasing.

A product identified as a summary or study guide is not the complete original textbook.

If the resource delivered materially differs from the description on the product page, please contact customer support.

7. Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed on the website and may change at any time before an order is placed.

The price charged is the price displayed and accepted at checkout, subject to correction of obvious pricing or technical errors as permitted by law.

Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal.

We do not generally store complete payment card information.

8. Orders

We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or review an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:

  • Suspected fraud
  • Unauthorized payment activity
  • Pricing or technical errors
  • Misuse of the website
  • Breach of these Terms

If we cancel a paid order without providing the purchased digital content, the applicable payment will normally be refunded.

9. Refunds and Digital Content Rights

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy and applicable consumer protection law.

Our policy does not override statutory rights.

Under UK consumer law, digital content supplied for payment must meet applicable standards, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where relevant, and as described. Consumers may have remedies where digital content does not conform to the contract.

10. Licence to Use Purchased Resources

Unless otherwise stated, purchasing a BoxCourses digital resource grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use that resource for your own educational purposes.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • Resell the resource
  • Redistribute it
  • Upload it to file-sharing websites
  • Share download links publicly
  • Republish substantial portions
  • Use the resource to create competing commercial products
  • Remove ownership or copyright notices from BoxCourses-created material

Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of intellectual property contained in the purchased resource.

11. Intellectual Property

BoxCourses-created content, including our original summaries, study guides, website text, branding, graphics, layouts, and other original materials, may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Third-party book titles, author names, trademarks, publisher names, and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Our reference to third-party works does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

12. Acceptable Use

You must not use BoxCourses or its services to:

  • Violate applicable law
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Commit fraud
  • Circumvent website security
  • Introduce malicious software
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Scrape or copy substantial portions of the website for commercial use
  • Interfere with the operation of the website
  • Misrepresent your identity or payment information

We may restrict or terminate access where these Terms are materially violated.

13. Accounts and Customer Information

Where an account is available, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when making purchases.

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

14. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services for:

  • Payment processing
  • Hosting
  • Analytics
  • Advertising
  • Email delivery
  • Technical infrastructure

Your use of those services may also be subject to the relevant provider’s own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, subject to applicable law.

15. External Links

BoxCourses may contain links to external websites for convenience, reference, or educational purposes.

The presence of a link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.

16. Accuracy and Availability

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website information and reliable access to our services.

However, we do not guarantee that:

  • The website will always be uninterrupted
  • Every resource will remain permanently available
  • Every educational statement will always reflect the latest medical developments
  • The website will be completely free of technical errors

Medical knowledge changes over time, and users should verify important clinical information against current authoritative sources.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BoxCourses will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on educational content or from events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

18. User Reviews and Submissions

If you submit a review, feedback, testimonial, or other content to BoxCourses, you confirm that:

  • The submission is truthful to the best of your knowledge
  • You have the right to submit it
  • It does not infringe another person’s rights
  • It is not unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or misleading

We may moderate or remove submissions that violate these standards.

19. Privacy and Cookies

Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Where required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies should be used in accordance with applicable consent requirements. UK ICO guidance states that valid consent for relevant cookies must be informed and involve a clear affirmative action.

20. Changes to Products or Services

We may update, modify, or discontinue products, website features, or services from time to time.

Changes do not remove rights that a customer has already acquired under an existing contract or applicable law.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Material changes will apply prospectively to the extent required by applicable law.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

23. Governing Law

This section should reflect the actual legal entity operating BoxCourses and the jurisdictions in which you sell.

If CLETOM LTD, an England & Wales company, is the contracting seller, a common formulation would be:

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s country of residence.

I would not keep “laws of France” unless the actual BoxCourses contracting entity has a valid French legal basis for doing so. Consumer protections can also continue to apply regardless of a contractual governing-law clause.
